June 24, 2002.........Proud parents, Iris Weishall and her husband, Senator Charles Schumer, with their daughter Jessica Schumer. Jessica graduated today. The Styvesant High School Commencement, 2002, was held at Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan.
Chaz Clark, proudly standing with his mother Lashawn and his grandmother Elsie, also graduated today. A day that was "bitter-sweet". Chaz lost his father Benjamin on 9/11/01. His father was the Executive Chef of Sodexho located on the 96th floor of the World Trade Center............The students were anxiously waiting to receive their diplomas.

Former President Bill Clinton and Senator Charles Schumer, were guest speakers at the graduation.
